February 21 paperworkThe Welfare system is awash in paperwork. Flodded with it actually. Aarrgh! I may be choked to death on service request forms. There is just not enough time to get everyone served and it is killing me! It is terribly hard to be poor and humbling to ask for public assistance. If the county tells you to go to school and then won,t help you pay for books... How are you going to do well in your classes. We stopped to shop and poke through stored, that being mom's favorite hobby. At the hotel Dad and Jax puted on the mini green while Mom and I watched while discussing Soap Operas. Then I cheated and pened 2 gifts early- dont tell Wheeler I couldn't wait! Keith's on the road.I am posting from the back seat of Dad's car on our way to Solvang (to celebrate my birthday). Cool eh? So my blogging was interrupted by a call from my OJ. She had errands to run and dropped Grandpa at the car dealership... This is like getting free babysitting for Pa. He likes to pester the sales guys and threatens to turn in OJ's car for a new model with bells and whistles. She came back to get him for Baby Juia's b day. Well, he wasn't there and she did have him paged there and at the Toyota dealer on the other side of the street before giving up and leaving him. Pa called my local uncle and he picked him up. Apparently he was hiding in order to keep from having to go. We are all in shock that OJ grew a pair and did not lhang out waiting for that honery man to come out of hiding. Go Grandma OJ!! February 09 I abhor spidersgross gross gross! I found a quarter sized Black Widow on my screen the other night - but at least it wasn't a Camel Spider!  I WANT my W2I usually have my taxes done and in hand by this time of year - yes, I am an e-filer. However, Dumb Lamp Community has lost yet another CFO (wonder why) and has not issued my my W2 - though I have e-mailed the Exec, Dir and the accountant, not to mention the good for nothing Human Resources girl - - - - arrgh. I guess it is off to estimated Tax Land for me! I would usually just use muy pay stub and call it a day, but I have severence and Vacation Pay to factor in too. I suppose I wioll just have to report them to the IRS and estimate it, including my profit sharing, Unemployment, Temporary Agency pay and some self employment. Self employment has been good to me this year, however: I have earned more from Jan 1, 2007 to today than I did for all of last year. Some of it has to do with my web site and the change in advertising venue - check me out at Lovertrials.com. I should update the page since my prices have gone up a little. What about you? Btw, owned half of Short Line Enterprose and his train was in Throw Mama From the Train, The Los Boys and just about every train movie I care to see. |
